The Name:

In 2004, while watching a morning news program, the word bolingo was described as meaning 'love' and was reported as the chosen name for a new born gorilla. The name stuck, and when the task of choosing a name for a handbag company arose the choice of ‘Bolingo’ was easy. The roots of ‘bolingo’ are in the Bantu language, Lingala, which is spoken throughout the nothwestern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, and areas of Angola. The Country of Origin
