Due to an epidemic in South Africa, there is a worldwide shortage of Ostrich Skins. The Avian influenza outbreak has an estimated impact of 60% reduction of Ostrich skin availability over the past few months. The unavailability of skins is driving the market demands to the highest prices in many years for Ostrich products.
